We are currently looking for a talented mining professional, someone with a proven open cut coal experience and a highly capable leader of technical services. You will work at an impressive open pit coal operation in Central Queensland, leading and developing a skilled multi-disciplinary team. Offering FIFO or DIDO options on an 8/6 roster, this is a crucial role that will play a key part in the success and profitability of this open cut operation and would suit an experienced Senior Mining Engineer or Mining Engineer to step up in their career.

About you:
This role will require a mix of skills that you have honed over a proven career in the mining sector. This will enable you to not only manage the team and ensure success; but be able to add value to the business, its overall production performance and safety. In addition, you will bring excellent communication skills and the ability to work across a range of key stakeholders in various departments.
You will bring qualifications in a technical area such as mining engineering, surveying or geology coupled with 5 + years proven experience in senior level roles that have seen you take responsibility for and achieve desired results within in similar mining environments. You must have experience in leadership of diverse technical teams in an open cut truck and shovel mining environment. Exposure to a suite of mining related software will also be advantageous.
