Mechanical Engineer – Mobile Plant

About the role:

Working in Queensland’s Southern Bowen Basin region, you will provide mechanical engineering expertise to the maintenance team to ensure high equipment availability. The position offers genuine growth opportunity where you can further develop your mining career, work with a large fleet of mobile plant and learn from an experienced group of maintenance and engineering professionals. 

About you:

Having a degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering coupled with at least 2 years post graduate experience in a similar role you will demonstrate an understanding and technical aptitude for mobile mining plant across reliability, availability and performance. Bringing to the role a positive and learning mindset you will become a part of the site-based team to deliver support and technical assistance to achieve broader maintenance and operational outcomes.

Key duties and accountabilities:

• Maintenance and engineering activities in line with maintenance strategy
• Excellent communication skills between departments
• Support equipment availability and performance
• Deliver required information, reporting and technical assistance
