PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Manager of Talent Acquisition & Internal Payroll plays a pivotal role in shaping the workforce of our organization by attracting, developing, and retaining top talent. Responsibilities encompass various aspects of talent management, including recruitment, onboarding, internal payroll, and reporting.

Recruitment

Leadership and collaboration
|
- Develop innovative strategies to attract top talent and fill key positions within the organization.
- Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, including job posting, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Utilize advanced sourcing techniques and tools to identify and engage with high-quality candidates.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide strategic guidance throughout the recruitment process.
- Provide consistent guidance to senior management on HR administration requirements and best practices.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including hiring managers, department heads, and senior leadership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align talent management strategies with business objectives and priorities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on talent-related issues and initiatives.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience by maintaining clear communication and timely feedback.

Succession Planning and Talent Pipeline Management
|
- Work closely with senior leadership to identify key talent within the organization and develop succession plans for critical roles.
- Build and maintain a talent pipeline by proactively sourcing and developing high-potential employees for future leadership positions.
- Conduct talent reviews and assessments to identify gaps and opportunities for talent development and succession planning.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to leaders in talent management and succession planning efforts.

Employment and Legal Documentation
|
- Create, revise, and maintain employment-related documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and legal compliance.
- Provide consistent guidance to senior management on HR administration requirements and best practices.
- Partner with legal counsel to address complex legal issues, mitigate risks, and ensure adherence to legal requirements and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.
- Stay updated on changes in employment laws, regulations, and industry trends, providing guidance and recommendations as needed.

Internal Payroll Management
|
- Lead an end-to-end payroll function and manage a team of payroll professionals.
- Ensure completion of all key weekly payroll and invoicing functions and procedures.
- Provide regular updates to the General Manager on relevant payroll issues.
- Ensure privacy and security of all employee documentation and files.
- Comply with relevant statutory reporting obligations, including Labour Hire Licensing reporting.
- Provide advice on pay and conditions to employees as per industrial entitlements.

Reporting

- Perform reconciliation of payroll in accordance with month-end and year-end requirements.
- Provide relevant annual and monthly reports to Management and other Department Managers as required.
- Produce and present regular weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports for senior management on recruitment metrics, including recruitment effectiveness, turnover rates, leave liability, and employee engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, payroll with at least 4 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively in a recruitment context.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful recruitment strategies, processes, and programs to attract and retain top talent.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and recruitment software/tools.
