About the role:

Working within a focused and dedicated maintenance team you will be responsible for the planning and scheduling across the sites mobile plant, light vehicles and auxiliary equipment. This pivotal role will support the sites broader maintenance program to ensure quality and high plant availability. You will integrate with the maintenance team and work closely with your department to help drive plant performance, reliability and maintenance strategy execution. 

About you:

A proven exposure to working with mobile mining equipment with a solid mine site background is critically important. It is also essential that you have demonstrated maintenance planning and scheduling experience utilising SAP, JDE, Ellipse or similar CMMS.

Key duties and accountabilities:

• Execute maintenance planning activities to optimise the maintenance strategy
• Excellent communication skills between departments and suppliers
• Drive equipment availability, reliability and performance
• Experience and ability to deliver exceptional support and confidence to back up plan
• Manage resources, costs and associated requirements in line with scheduled work

Technical Services Superintendent

• 5/2 - 4/3 roster
• FIFO / DIDO / Resi options

We are working closely with a highly regarded mining business that is currently enjoying a strong period of growth. We are actively seeking a Technical Services Superintendent to drive successful mine planning outcomes at an open pit coal operation in Central Queensland. With options that include a choice of fifo, drive in/out or residential lifestyle options on a 9 day fortnight, this is an imperative site-based role that will drive the success and profitability of this key mining asset.

About the role:

Guiding a multi-disciplinary team across technical services functions, you will deliver strategic objectives through optimising mine planning and scheduling activities. You will also liaise closely with both production and maintenance teams as well as other stakeholders to ensure targets are successfully achieved.

About you:

You will bring proven mine planning experience, clear communication skills, strong technical knowledge and qualifications in a mining engineering, surveying or geology. Your capabilities will enable you to not only manage the team and achieve success; but be able to add value to the business, its overall performance and ensure safety. You will have 5 + years proven experience in senior level roles that have seen you take responsibility for and achieve desired results within in similar mining environments. You must have experience in leadership of diverse technical teams in an open cut; truck and shovel mining environment and exposure to a suite of mining related software packages will also be advantageous.
