About the role:
We are currently recruiting an experienced Mine Planning Superintendent for an international mining client. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will provide expertise and valuable technical support that encompasses mining production and planning, budgets, forecasts, key reporting and oversight, production outcomes and engaging with the positive team culture.
Your proven mining background coupled with mining engineering qualifications will ensure that you add value to the business and optimise site performance through seamless short, medium and long term mine planning. Your focus on safety and continuous improvement will enable you to grow with this organisation and deliver against the business objectives. Ideally you will have 15+ years working in technical services with exposure to both open pit and underground scheduling and design. Relevant software exposure to Deswik, Vulcan or Whittle is advantageous.
Key duties and accountabilities:
- Mine planning, forecasting and scheduling
- Excellent communication skills between departments
- Manage reports, budgets, identify improvements and cost savings
- Ensure safety and compliance in mining activities
- Provide technical support and advice
- Leadership skills and ability to drive outcomes
- Utilise mine planning and scheduling software
